What does the scholarship cover?
McMaster University Scholarships 2024 in Hamilton, Canada, provide various degrees of financial assistance to international students wishing to pursue undergraduate programs in various faculties at McMaster University.
The scholarships are either renewable or one-time awards that pay all or part of the tuition, living expenses, or housing costs. Scholarships are as follows:
Degroote School of Business Scholarships: These scholarships are open to overseas students enrolling full-time in any undergraduate program at the Degroote School of Business. There are three scholarship programs.
The Global Business Scholar I Award: is a $32,500 renewable award ($10,000 for the first year and $7,500 for each subsequent year).
The Global Business Scholar II scholarship: is a $25,000 renewable scholarship ($10,000 for the first year and $5,000 for each subsequent year).
Dean’s Global Excellence Scholarship: This is a $210,000 renewable grant ($50,000 per year plus $10,000 for housing at level 1).
Faculty of Engineering Scholarships: These scholarships are available to international students enrolled full-time in any undergraduate program offered by the Faculty of Engineering. There are four scholarship programs.
Global Dean’s Excellence Award: This is a $30,000 renewable award ($7,500 annually).
Engineering International Entrance Award: This $10,000 award is given only once.
The iBioMed International Entrance incentive is a one-time $10,000 incentive for the iBioMed program.
Engineering a Brighter Future Award of Excellence: This is a $100,000 renewable award ($25,000 year).
The Faculty of Humanities Global Excellence Prize is a renewable $25,000 prize ($10,000 in level 1 and $5,000 in levels 2-4) for overseas students enrolling full-time in any undergraduate degree offered by the Faculty of Humanities.

However, McMaster invests more than a million dollars in scholarships for international students each year.
Which countries are targeted? The scholarships are offered to international students from any country who meet the eligibility requirements.
Am I Eligible To Apply?
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:
- As an international student, you will need study permission to study in Canada.
- Must have applied to or will apply to McMaster University’s full-time undergraduate engineering program for the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Have an excellent academic record, with a minimum admissions average of 90% or comparable.

Complete and submit the online application form for undergraduate admission to McMaster University via the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) by January 15, 2024.
Activate your MacID and log in to AwardSpring, McMaster’s online scholarship and bursary platform, with the Barcode and Student (Person) ID Number from your Acknowledgement letter.
Fill out the General Application on AwardSpring, which requests critical information to match you with awards for which you are eligible.
Complete the follow-ups for each scholarship program, which may include essays, referrals, or other requirements.
